Does F4SE still work? ›

Yes, F4SE is now broken and will not launch. From the website : "The 2024-04-25 Fallout 4 update (1.10. 980 and later) has broken F4SE and the rest of the native code modding scene similarly to Skyrim's "Anniversary Edition" patch.

Skyrim still has an advantage when it comes to modding. The Special Edition version of the game is very stable and much more forgiving than Fallout 4. Even veteran modders have trouble dealing with Fallout 4's tricky architecture.
